This programmatic work brings Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows to life. Four opening sections—“Spring Cleaning,” “The River,” “Toad Hall,” and “Wild Wood”—introduce distinct character and location themes, each threaded with a recurring horn motive. The themes converge in “The Fight for Toad Hall” before the work closes with Toad’s triumphant victory banquet.
