Concerto for Tuba and Concert Band

This 15-minute, three-movement concerto casts the tuba as a protagonist traveling from playful innocence through despondency to anger and exasperation. Its traditional fast–slow–fast design blends classical harmony and form with jazz-inflected rhythm, syncopation, and the melodic spirit of folk and popular music.
