Lament for Bob

Commissioned by the U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note in 2012, Lament for Bob honors Bob Brookmeyer, one of the composer’s defining influences. A trombone chorale expands with the addition of flugelhorns, gathering momentum toward an extended flugelhorn feature. The full band ultimately rises into a primal cry before slowly dissolving into silence.
